Don’t call the SensiLight Mini an at-home IPL device – it’s more than that. In fact, this handheld hair remover uses RPL technology, which takes IPL one step further by constantly monitoring and sensing your skin’s condition, adapting to its needs whenever necessary.
After giving this compact hair remover a test drive, we found plenty of things we liked, and a few (just one) that we didn’t like.

SensiLight Mini Hair Removal Device Review
The first thing you’ll notice about the SensiLight is that it’s incredibly lightweight – just 7.5 ounces. It’s small, too, at just 3” x 2” x 5.5”. It’s a little bit bigger than the palm of your hand, but it’s easy to manipulate.
While the Mini can tackle all areas of the body, its small size makes removing hair from legs and other large areas tedious. The good news is that hair takes quite a long time to grow back, so you won’t be spending hours removing hair once a week.
Something else that you’ll love about this device is that its cartridge can deliver 50,000 flashes. That’s more than you’ll ever need, so you won’t be spending more on refill cartridges.
Cleared by the FDA, the Mini can achieve permanent hair reduction – with an emphasis on the word reduction. Don’t expect to be hair-free forever, but do expect to see a drastic difference in the growth rate and thickness of the hair you remove. After consistent months of use on my legs, I can confidently say that the hair is finer and less dense than it was before I started treatment.
Part of what makes this device so special is that it uses RPL technology, which is an advancement on IPL technology. It constantly monitors your skin’s condition, and adapts to it to ensure that your hair removal sessions are effective and safe.
Sensors also prevent you from accidently using this device on incompatible skin. Unfortunately, dark skin tones are still unsuitable for use with this unit, so keep that in mind. If you enjoy tanning or have naturally dark skin, the Mini may not be a good fit for you.
The SensiLight Mini is incredibly easy to use. It’s a corded device, so there’s no need to worry about recharging batteries. Just plug it in, and you’re good to go.
And for added peace of mind, you can feel safe in knowing that this device is cleared by the FDA.
If you’re looking for a compact, affordable and easy-to-use hair removal device, the SensiLight Mini is a smart choice. You never have to deal with replacement light cartridges, and its compact size makes it so easy to use. After just a few treatments, you’ll see a dramatic difference in hair thickness and density. I highly recommend giving the Mini a try.
