The Verseo ePen is one of the most affordable permanent hair removal systems on the market today. Using electrolysis (minus the needle), the Verseo will zap away unwanted hairs and comes with self-adhesive pads that can be used for multiple treatments.
During my Verseo ePen review, I test out the ePen to see if it works or doesn’t work.
Verseo ePen Features
- Electrolysis hair removal
- Automatic timer
- Self-adhesive pads included
- 3-sided folding pouch
- 1-year guarantee
The Verseo ePen allows for hair removal in the privacy of your own home. Using small pulses of electrical energy, the ePen is meant to target the hair follicle and destroy it at the root. This is the same way that laser and pulse light methods work, but it is done using adhesive pads that allow electric pulses to damage the root of the hair versus light absorption.
Conductive gel is used, and there is a 20-second timer that alerts you when the treatment is complete.
A green light indicates when contact is made with the gel, so you always know when to turn on the ePen. Included with your purchase is also:
- 2 jars of conductive gel
- Pad leads
- 3 Conductive pads
After your session is over, you’ll need to remove the hair follicle with either a tweezer or by wiping the area.
The Verseo ePen will require 2, 20 minute treatments per week. You’ll need to conduct treatments for 3 – 4 months before you notice an abundance of hair loss or total hair removal. It’s not an overnight process, and other systems also take 3+ months before results are witnessed.
One of the easiest hair removal options we’ve tested, the ePen does provide lasting results and doesn’t take a long time to master unlike other products. Unfortunately, this device is a hit and miss for some people. It’s important to remember that not every skin tone reacts to hair removal in the same way, so you’ll need to try the ePen for yourself to see if it works for you.
- Very affordable
- Comes with all equipment and accessories
- Small and compact
- Efficient hair removal
- Slower results
- Slower treatments
Targeting each hair for treatment does take more time than pulsed light options. Treatments last 20 minute or so, and must be done twice per week. Gel pads can be reused about 8 times each before needing to replace them. You’ll need at last 3 pads to complete 3 months of treatment to see lasting results.
Easy to use, the built-in timer and light sensors ensure you don’t make a mistake when trying to zap hair away. The company included a pouch with all of the accessories and items you’ll need to get started with the Verseo ePen.
The most affordable hair removal product I’ve ever reviewed, I recommend the ePen for anyone on a budget. Results aren’t witnessed overnight, but with repeated treatments, you’ll notice less hair and eventually no hair regrowth, which is the goal of all hair removal products.
