P Paradoxa. Ghost mantis. They are wonderful docile mantids and are know for easy keeping. Great pets! interesting calm and friendly. They can be kept in groups communally (if well fed) and are a pleasure to watch and to hold. They breed fairly easily and can be so much fun! We always have nymphs and older stages and frequently have ooths (egg cases) for sale. These are great for greenhouse and grow-room pest control
S. Lineola Sphodromantisspecies, Great pet! The S. Lineola or the Blue Flash are the best pets ever! Sphodromantiscommon name African mantis or African praying mantis, is a species of praying mantis from Africa sometimes raised in captivity. These are large and friendly, they love to be held and are a great example of how friendlyand smartmantids are as pets. One of my favorites, smart and love humans as companions.
Hierodula membranacea Giant Asian mantis is a very large mantid, gentle and easy to care for. BIG! sharing its common name giant Asian mantis with other large members of genus Hierodula. Its colours vary from green to yellow-green, or even brown to reddish-brown, similar to those of the giant Indian mantis and the giant Malaysian mantis.
Rhombodera sp.R. megaera Common name:Giant shield mantis. These magnificent very large and beautiful mantis are great. They are a little more aggressive than some and have no problem hunting and capturing large prey. If bred they produce large ooths with many nymphs as many as 200! Large fun and comfortable with being handled.
"Spiny Flower mantis" Known as "Number 9" because of their most interesting markings on their wings. They are a bit skittish as they seem to use the threat display often though they love to flash their wings. I call them "Drama Queens" as they seem to love to display their wings making them look like giant eyed predators, though they are sweet and gentle
The baby nymphs are red and black and they have been called "Ninja Mantis" Not your typical mantis as they resemble beautiful flowers. They are a bit more difficult requiring higher humidity though I find them to be friendly and curious. They seem to love being held.They are considered the most beautiful and different species
